Films are a big part of narrative, they're narrative in action. I am going to study a number of films in order to influence my work. I decided to create a few guidelines for writing down notes during a film. I took influence from my past experience as a media student and a few tips from a media graduate in order to get the best from my note taking.
Looking out for:
- Wide shots.
- Mid Close Up (Waist upwards)
- Medium Close Up (Shoulders)
- Close Up.
- Cut In (Part of same subject)
- Cut Away (Other than that subject)
- Over the Shoulder.
- Point Of View (POV)
- Compositions (Rule Of Thirds)
- Mise en Scene (French for "Putting in the scene)
;This is everything but the actors and camera.
- Relations of Colour/Pace etc.
; Red = Danger/Love, Blue = Suspense/Cold, Orange = Warm/Inviting etc.
